1) Time boundaries

3) Role boundaries

Example: I do not do other people’s job.You train competence instead of dependence.

4) Emotional boundaries

Example: I can hold pressure without absorbing everyone’s anxiety.You lead without carrying.

The boundary script that works

Use this format:

  • I cannot do X because Y matters
  • I can do Z by time T

This keeps authority and clarity.It is calm, non dramatic and non negotiable.

Pick one boundary that removes 20 percent of daily noise: a response window, a meeting rule or a handoff rule. Announce it once, then enforce it for 14 days.
